ClickSoftware’s Mobile Application Now Enables Customers to Manage Schedules, Tasks and Work Orders in the Field and Receive Reports in Real Time

The company embarked in a pilot for the implementation of automation testing for ClickSoftware’s mobile interface. The project is aimed at integrating automatic processes and tests to manage the lifecycle of the company’s applications. It also enables ClickSoftware to manage its workforce and optimize customer service, whose staff is always available via Smartphones and other Apple and Android-based mobile devices.
The pilot is based on Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server (TFS), which manages a variety of aspects in the lifecycle of an application, and Experitest’s SeeTest, a test automation tool for mobile applications.
The pilot, which was developed for mobile devices in an Agile environment, covers the specification of a work methodology and schedule, requirements definition, infrastructure development, integration between the various solution components, implementation, and training. Furthermore, SCRUM enables Top-Q’s team to accelerate the development process, obtaining immediate feedback and allowing for rapid changes throughout the development phases.
“The purpose of the pilot was to evaluate the capabilities of Top-Q’s solution to automate test processes in mobile platforms,” said Noam Amrani, ClickSoftware’s QA Manager. “The project is being carried out efficiently and professionally, and it appears that the solution provides a response to variety of requirements. Moreover, the training we receive from the Top-Q team will allow us to implement the solution on our own.”
